Private AI integration: chatbots, recommendation systems, RAG knowledge bases, and MCP servers for agents. Self-hosted when data control matters.
Secure development in memory-safe languages, with LLVM obfuscation, reverse-engineering hardening, and WebAssembly sandboxing for products that need it.
Web applications, with WebAssembly modules from Rust and Three.js for interactive 3D where the product needs it.
Firmware and embedded software for microcontrollers, Linux-based edge devices, and custom hardware. From board bring-up to production.
Backends self-hosted on European cloud infrastructure (Scaleway, Hetzner, Infomaniak). Data stays in Europe.

Internet Village is an independent software company in Sanem, Luxembourg, founded in 2020 by Lionel Bergeret after twenty years of engineering at Sony, PacketVideo, Safecast and Trainspot KK in Tokyo. We choose long-term maintainability over short-term speed, and treat security as a design constraint rather than a final-phase audit.

Internet Village is a software studio in Luxembourg that builds embedded systems, secure software, and mobile applications. Most projects combine two or three disciplines into one connected delivery: a mobile app as the customer touchpoint, with AI integration, European hosting, embedded devices, and system integration supporting it.
We are based in Sanem, Luxembourg. We work with clients across Luxembourg and Belgium, and with long-term clients in Japan from the founder's years in Tokyo.
Mobile work is mostly Flutter, with native Swift and Kotlin where needed. Embedded runs on microcontrollers and Linux-based edge devices in Rust and C (ESP32, STM32). AI integration uses open models such as Mistral and Ollama, often run on-device or on European servers. Backends and integrations use Odoo, Stripe, and Traefik, hosted on European infrastructure (Scaleway, Hetzner, Infomaniak).
English and French for written and spoken work, plus conversational Japanese (JLPT N3). The website is published in English, French, and German.
